Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, analytical, and detail-oriented Business Analyst (Fresher) to join our Business Analysis team in Bangalore.

The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in gathering business requirements, analyzing data, identifying process improvement opportunities, preparing reports, and supporting business decision-making.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication abilities, basic knowledge of Excel and SQL, and an interest in understanding business processes and translating business requirements into practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis

• Assist in understanding business needs and project objectives.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to collect and document business requirements.
• Support the preparation of Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).
• Analyze existing business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Help translate business requirements into clear functional specifications.
• Maintain requirement documentation and track changes.

2. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Collect, organize, and analyze business data from multiple sources.
• Use MS Excel and basic SQL queries for data analysis.
• Identify patterns, trends, and performance gaps in business data.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly business reports.
• Support the development of dashboards and performance summaries.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency.

3. Business Process Improvement

• Study existing workflows and operational procedures.
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation.
• Assist in creating process flowcharts and workflow diagrams.
• Recommend improvements based on data and business requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to implement approved process changes.
• Monitor process performance and improvement outcomes.

4. Stakeholder Communication & Coordination

• Coordinate with business users, project managers, developers, and testing teams.
• Participate in requirement-gathering meetings and project discussions.
• Document meeting notes, action items, and business decisions.
• Communicate business requirements clearly to technical teams.
• Support stakeholder follow-ups and project updates.
• Assist in resolving requirement-related queries.

5. Documentation & Functional Specifications

• Prepare and maintain business analysis documents.
• Assist in writing user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Create basic workflow diagrams and process maps.
• Maintain project documentation and requirement traceability.
• Support the preparation of presentations and business reports.

6. Testing & Quality Assurance Support

• Assist in preparing test scenarios based on business requirements.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate whether developed solutions meet business requirements.
• Identify and report functional gaps or issues.
• Coordinate with QA and development teams to resolve defects.
• Document testing feedback and observations.

7. Project Coordination & Performance Monitoring

• Support project planning and task tracking.
• Monitor project deliverables and assigned timelines.
• Maintain project status reports and action trackers.
• Assist in evaluating business performance indicators.
• Support continuous improvement and business optimization initiatives.

Required Technical & Functional Skills

1. Business Analysis Fundamentals

• Basic understanding of business analysis concepts.
• Knowledge of requirement gathering and documentation.
• Familiarity with business process mapping.
• Understanding of BRD, FRD, user stories, and use cases.
• Awareness of stakeholder management and business workflows.

2. Data Analysis

• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Familiarity with formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables.
• Basic understanding of data cleaning and validation.
• Ability to interpret business data and identify trends.
• Knowledge of basic statistics and numerical analysis.

3. SQL & Database Fundamentals

• Basic knowledge of SQL queries.
• Understanding of SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY, and JOIN operations.
• Familiarity with relational database concepts.
• Basic knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server will be an advantage.

4. Data Visualization & Reporting

• Basic understanding of dashboards and business reports.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau will be an advantage.
• Ability to present data using charts, tables, and graphs.
• Understanding of business metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

5. Business Process & Project Management

• Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of workflow diagrams and process mapping.
• Awareness of project management fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

6. Business Analysis Tools

• MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Google Sheets and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Jira, Trello, or similar project management tools.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or draw.io will be an advantage.

• MBA / PGDM in Business Analytics, Finance, Operations, or related specializations will be an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates from the 2025 and 2026 batches are encouraged to apply.
