Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and technically motivated Backend Development Interns to join our software development team. The selected candidates will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining server-side applications, APIs, databases, and backend services.

This internship offers freshers an opportunity to gain practical experience in backend programming, database management, RESTful API development, application security, and modern software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications using Python, Java, Node.js, or other server-side technologies.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Support database design, development, and management using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable backend code.
• Implement server-side business logic and application functionality.
• Assist in integrating third-party APIs and external services.
• Support authentication, authorization, and secure data handling.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend application issues.
• Perform unit testing and assist in API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and software development teams.
• Optimize database queries and improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation for APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and team collaboration.
• Support application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities.

Required Technical Skills

• Basic programming knowledge in Python, Java, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Understanding of backend development concepts and server-side programming.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of SQL queries and database operations.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of debugging and error-handling techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Exposure to backend frameworks such as Express.js, Django, Flask, FastAPI, or Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Basic knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
• Understanding of authentication technologies such as JWT and OAuth.
• Awareness of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Redis, caching, and asynchronous programming.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students pursuing or graduates of BE, B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc, or related technical disciplines.
• Freshers and final-year students are encouraged to apply.
