Job Summary

We are looking for detail-oriented and motivated freshers to join our Payment Operations team as Payment Gateway Operators. The selected candidates will be responsible for monitoring online payment transactions, supporting payment processing activities, handling transaction-related queries, and assisting in payment reconciliation.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in digital payments, financial technology (FinTech), payment gateway operations, transaction monitoring, and banking processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support daily payment gateway transactions.
• Assist in processing online payments through UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, and digital wallets.
• Track successful, failed, pending, and refunded transactions.
• Identify and report payment processing errors or transaction failures.
• Support payment reconciliation between payment gateway records, merchant accounts, and banking systems.
• Coordinate with banks, payment service providers, and internal teams to resolve transaction-related issues.
• Assist in handling payment refunds, reversals, and chargeback requests.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, settlements, and payment reports.
• Respond to merchant and customer queries regarding payment status and transaction issues.
• Monitor transaction dashboards and escalate suspicious or unusual activities.
• Support daily settlement tracking and payment status verification.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly transaction reports.
• Follow company policies, data security standards, and applicable payment processing regulations.
• Work with technical and operations teams to troubleshoot payment gateway issues.
• Ensure timely escalation of unresolved payment discrepancies.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of online payment systems and digital transactions.
• Familiarity with UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, and digital wallets.
• Basic knowledge of banking and financial operations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage transaction records and operational reports.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of payment gateways such as Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with payment reconciliation and settlement processes.
• Knowledge of transaction IDs, payment status tracking, and refund processing.
• Basic understanding of payment APIs and payment gateway integrations.
• Awareness of PCI DSS and payment data security principles.
• Familiarity with fraud detection and transaction monitoring.
• Basic knowledge of chargebacks and dispute management.
• Understanding of KYC and AML compliance concepts.
• Exposure to CRM, ERP, or financial operations software.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data filtering.
