Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mid-Level Shopify Developer to join our web development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Shopify store development, theme customization, Liquid templating, frontend technologies, and e-commerce integrations.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, optimizing, and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce websites while ensuring excellent performance, responsiveness, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify e-commerce websites.
• Build and modify Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Develop responsive, mobile-friendly, and user-friendly storefronts.
• Customize Shopify sections, templates, and reusable components.
• Integrate third-party Shopify applications, payment gateways, and external APIs.
• Work with Shopify Admin APIs and Storefront APIs.
• Optimize website speed, performance, accessibility, and SEO.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Shopify theme, functionality, and integration issues.
• Implement custom features based on business and client requirements.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and project managers.
• Support product catalog management, collections, metafields, and store configurations.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Support website deployment, updates, and maintenance.
• Stay updated with Shopify platform features and e-commerce development trends.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Shopify development and theme customization.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Liquid templating language.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
• Experience customizing Shopify themes and storefront components.
• Understanding of Shopify architecture, products, collections, and metafields.

• Familiarity with Hydrogen and headless Shopify architecture.
• Experience with React.js or Next.js.

• Familiarity with Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other e-commerce marketing tools.
• Experience with Shopify Plus is an added advantage.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant web development experience.
• Practical experience developing and maintaining Shopify stores.
• Strong understanding of Shopify themes, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience working with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations.
• Ability to independently handle assigned development tasks.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• A portfolio of Shopify projects is preferred.
